The Monarchs:
The Czar and the Czarina are a mated pair officially, while it is not uncommon for one or both of them to have other mates upon occasions of state they appear united and only pups birthed of their union are legitimate heirs.
The Czarina's job is to keep moral of pack members up and to be the 'face' of the pack. It is her job to visit other packs, speak to the pack, and it is she who issues various decrees. The Czar on the other hand is in charge of things such as making and enforcing laws. It is because of this that the Czarina is generally much more popular throughout the pack.
The offspring of the Czarina and the Czar, better known as the heirs, are directly in line for the throne. The eldest, be it male or female, ascends the throne first and chooses a Czar or Czarina. If both die pupless than the next in line will ascend, and so forth. Illegitimate offspring of either the Czar or the Czarina are second in line. The bastard pups of whichever monarch is of direct royal descent go first.
Nobility:
The advisors are the closest dogs to the hearts of the Monarchs. Appointed by the Czar and Czarina, these dogs are generally older and more experienced, they tend to be the voice of reason for the often idealistic rulers. This is a highly respected rank.
Barons and Baronesses are often despised by the peasants due to the fact that often times they rise to power by doing, well, nothing. They are made up of favorites of the Czar and Czarina. When a certain pair of monarchs come into power than a new court of dogs arise. Because of this Barons and Baronesses must become skilled at winning over the affections of each new monarch if they wish to stay in power. They usually mate within their rank but it is not required as their offspring has no special rank.
The Commanders are more respected throughout the pack as they earn their position through hard work. The Commanders, male or female, preside over the warriors. It is there job to keep the army in shape. There is a lot of pressure on them from the Czar and Czarina to make the army a feared force. Many dogs would not wish to have this rank despite the prestige it comes with as failure to succeed often results in harsh punishment.
Ladies in waiting are another part of the court built up around a specific pair of rulers. It is there job to keep the Czarina entertained and merry. Often times parents place their daughters here in hopes that they will catch the eye of the Czar and bring favor upon their family. Because of this they have been known to be the scourge of the Czarina.
The Subjects:
Warriors are just as they sound. They are the army of the Hirruk. They are all trained rigorously and harshly to be where they are so they are generally valued highly in the pack. What kind of warriors are accepted entirely depends on the current Commander.
Hunters are another extremely vital part to the Hirruk, though they don't always get the credit they deserve. The hunters are completely relied on to bring in food for the pack. No other dogs are taught how to hunt except for them.
The Caregivers of the pack are in charge of all things pup related.
They act as midwives for higher ranking dogs and they are charged with the care of all pups (dogs under six months). Caregiver is a unstable job as usually if a pup is unruly or naughty the Caregivers are accused of not overseeing that pups care like they should.
Peasants:
Pups are not strictly speaking peasants, but they are considered very low in rank (unless they are the children of nobility) simply because they have no rank. They are either cared for by their parents (if they are higher born) or the Caregivers.
The slaves are dogs that have either offended the Czar or Czarina in some way or pups that were not good at anything else. Sometimes there will be a long standing tradition of a certain line of slaves serving a certain family of high-ranking dogs. Slaves are not a desirable rank but they can lead fairly happy lives if they serve the nobility.
Last but not least, the Spoils are dogs who are captured in an invasion or battle. Pretty females are often given as gifts to high-ranking nobility and strong males are usually put to work. Others who are weak or rebellious are often just killed.
