Ever since Tai had literally been forced out of the Briyon, he really wasn't sure what to do with himself. Most days consisted of him playing around in the fields or going down to the water hole, which he absolutely loved to do when the weather was hot. When he was hungry, he bounded his way across the land until he spotted something that he knew he could take down. Squirrels or mice and the occasional rabbit, with a rather abundant amount of fruit to feed an army. If there was one thing that Taiko liked, it was to get himself some good old fashioned fruit from that orchard that he'd been told to stay away from.
Usually he was quick to get in and out, not knowing who would see him or notice that some of the items were gone but today he was lazy. Strangely enough, being lazy for him was like.. being active for most people. Zig-zagging in and out of the trees, he flared his nostrils at the very scent of all the fruits hanging from the trees. Usually if the branches were low enough, he would grab it and shake as hard as he could. Of course, fruit would scatter everywhere and he would let go and chase after it with all his might. Today, he wasn't feeling quite like that, but still much so.
Finding a rather plump and large apple tree, he circled it for any low lying branches and when he found none he moved to jump up on his back paws, placing the front ones on the trunk. Pressing and softly rocking against it with all his might, he began to sway the tree very faintly before a few apples actually fell. The small hill that the orchard was on let it tumble a little ways before it finally stopped. As soon as Tai had seen the few come off, he was bolting after them and catching up, missing it the first time and coming back to gnaw on the ripe red fruit he'd grown so dearly attached to.

The orchard was rife with fiery personalities that morning. Unpronounced to Vivid, she was not the only force of nature who thought they might like a stroll through the fruit bearing trees. Of course, perhaps that was for the better, as Vivid, proud and overtly imperious may have not even deigned to continue if she had known who lay only a mile or so away in the orchard.
However, the pretty golden dog didn't know. She had no earthly idea that she was to have company this morning so she continued on in rather high spirits. The day was fine, lazy bees fluttered through the trees and the butter yellow sun was so warm it would have coaxed any dog out of camp, even the high and mighty Hirruk Czarina. This was how Vivid came to skip down the well worn path through the orchard as if she was not a high ranking dog in a fearsome pack, but a pup, overly excited.
Vivid's high-spirits lasted until she saw a rather large dog chewing on her apples. Perhaps they were not strictly speaking hers, but in Vivid's mind every last stone in Hirruk territory was lawfully hers. She glared, "Excuse me?!" She called in her trilling voice. She was trying exceptionally hard to keep her face serious and business like even though the site of the large dog chewing so happily on one of her apples did bring a giggle to the surface. She managed to rein in her bouncy personality, and her amusement, for several seconds more before a short pealing laugh escaped her.
She bridged the few paces between them with a smile on her maw and gave up on her anger. Today was too pretty for rivalry and strife, Vivid was just in the mood for fun.

The sound of someone approaching had reached his ears, but he'd payed it no mind for now. He knew this was territory he wasn't allowed to be on, or so he was told several times to stay away from, but for some reason the Aussie mix just didn't seem to care. The fruit was delicious on these lands, and leaving the one he'd fought so hard to get from the tree just.. seemed like a waste. It was only the sound of someone's voice did he actually lift his head and gaze in the direction of which it came.
For a moment he froze in his laying position, tail sitting still at her commanding voice but as the laugh began to purse through her maw, he was grinning too. A new friend, maybe? He mulled over in his head, getting up swiftly and darting around the very tree he'd gotten his sweet apple from. As he came around the back side, they were now closer to each other and he practically rounded her back side and around her left. His multi-colored coat rippled against the light and his ears flopped as he came to a stop and rested in a laying position as she continued to walk. Obviously this dog had gotten into something...
"I'm just eating some apples. I swear." He spoke with a smile, tail wagging with what seemed like the urgency of ten thousand workers waiting to get off of work. As big as he was, his voice practically matched it in every sense. It was slightly deep and quickly spoken, but velvety. "If you want I can get you some from the same tree I got some from." He got up again, standing and facing her as if waiting for her command for him to go. Honestly, he had no idea who this dog was, but the fact that he'd actually run into anyone was a plus anytime. Maybe they could play?

Vivid tried to be stern, "This is Hirruk territory, sir!" She reproached him but the smile kept breaking her voice. Finally she gave up on her appearance of formality and laughed, "I'm Vivid." She briefly wondered if this dog would have heard of her. She hadn't been the Czarina for long, but the fact that she had no Czar had sparked some controversy among the other packs, maybe the whispers had reached the ears of this dog. She wasn't sure if this should perturb her or gratify her. She wanted her name to be known, but she didn't want this dog to think that she was some overreaching harlot.
She chuckled at his assurances that he had only taken apples and smiled broadly as he offered to get her some. "If you would!" She declared, for she too had a love of the juicy red fruits that was not shared by many of her pack members. "I often have wondered how to get them down, I suppose your strategy works as well as any, and certifiably better than mine!" Vivid smiled, she was beginning to feel very at home with this large new friend. As Czarina most of her life was spent in constant planning and work, sometimes Vivid just wanted to be a puppy again.
She took a seat at the base of the apple tree and regarded the newcomer curiously. He had a bright multicolored pelt with so many different hues that she could not begin to guess at his pedigree. Her own parentage showed through clearly, but this dog was such a jumbled mix, in pelt and personality, that her agile mind was left reeling with only one question, "Who are you?"

It being Hirruk territory rang a bell but the name Vivid didn't, it did sound familiar to what he had heard before. What was it? His thoughts were short lived as she spoke that she did want apples down from the tree and he was already on the mission, pushing up on his back paws again and ramming his front ones against the tree. After a few moments of rocking, apples begun to fall from the branches and he was stopping. Just because there was someone there, didn't mean that he was actually going to stop being himself. Quickly getting off the trunk, he was after the apples again. Chasing after them for a bit, he gathered a few of them in his maw and practically paraded back over to her like.. a pup.
With three apples jammed into it, he dropped them near her and along with what seemed like the twenty apples that had seemed to fall from the tree she was under. "You just have to get up on it.. and rock with all your weight. Works better on smaller trees, though." And he was off again, finding a nearby tree that was much smaller then the one that he'd recently ransacked. To it he began to to the same thing but this time it was a pear tree and had a lot less branches. As all the pears fell of the barely twenty foot tree, he gathered about four in his mouth and began to dart back to where she was, dropping them along with the apples.
He'd heard the question before he'd left, but hadn't answered it as his mind was focused elsewhere. Now.. "I'm Taiko.." He spoke, dropping to the laying position once more and beginning to chew on another apple, chomping off bites before turning his chocolate eyes up to her once more. Still, his mind was reeling. Could they play after this? Maybe they could run around and play some games that he'd made up. They were much more fun to play with others then by himself.

Kipcha rammed her nose to the ground, desperate to fallow the sent of Vivid, her long trailing ears were dragged along side her head gathering up all kinds of forest smells to her nose. She hated to be alone, but there wasn't a better place to be by yourself than this sweet smelling beautiful forest especially on such a nice day. She continued on the path, trying not to collapse in the lovely sunshine. Then, it stuck her nose the last thing she wanted to smell, the little dog trembled but her boxy paws kept walking faster now, but continued on the path. It hit her again, a loner. Kipcha strained her powerful nose to detect if the Czarina was hurt. Relief washed over her Vivid wasn't hurt, in fact the czarina's sent hinted happiness. Kipcha stopped, wondering whether or not to turn and run for help. Her head struck the ground again, she was being silly Vivid was a powerful leader and this loner wouldn't be anything more than a normal skinny old sick dog.
Vivid's sent got stronger and the loner's trailed off the the side and so Kipcha opened her mouth to call for the czarina, but stopped herself, what if the loner was right around the corner? He would surely attack. She decided to push through a bush so she would be hidden from what ever lurked behind. As she nosed through the bush expecting something to pounce on her the green leaves in the bush stoked her coat softly then suddenly a straggly branch raked her side making her squeal like a frightened pup. Her eyes popped open as she rolled out of the bush thinking some beast had just attacked her only to see Vivid with a towering woolly dog giving the her some apples! What in the world was she doing! Kipcha froze there on her back, absolutely frightened by the loner, he was much larger than her imaginative mind could have dreamed up.
Kipcha glanced up at Vivid waiting for some sort of punishment and stared up at the loner waiting for an attack. Leaves stuck out of her pelt and mud was coated on her paws and ears. She did indeed feel very very embarrassed, for acting like a clumsy puppy and an undignified adult.

Vivid laughed mellifluously. She really was beginning to like this high spirited dog. She chuckled and devoured one of the apples that came bouncing towards her. She laughed at the dog, who introduced himself as Taiko, and his buoyant personality. She was about to reply brightly when something else caught her attention. "Kipcha!" She called brightly, recognizing her distinctive little friend and fellow nobility almost immediately. Vivid had not expected to have so much company today, but there her friend was, with that same fearful, needy, and hopelessly endearing expression on her face.
"Kipcha this is Taiko." She introduced her friend, wondering what Kipcha would think of her for fraternizing with such riffraff, fun, enjoyable riffraff, but riffraff nonetheless. 'She'll think whatever you tell her to.' Vivid reminded herself with a tinge of amusement in her gaze as she glanced at the little baroness. For all Kipcha's charm and sweetness the dog wasn't one to rebel. 'If only the rest of my pack was like that.' Vivid thought ruefully. Her rule would be so much stabler if all of her pack members thought of her like Kipcha did.

Kipcha's body was trembling, what would happen now? Should she run to get help? Or should she talk to Vivid? Time seemed to stop for her. Leaves and twigs scraped her sides one her ears flopped over her chest. Finally time seemed to continue as Kipcha decided what to do.
Kipcha rolled off from her back glancing around nervously wondering if she should roll back over to tell this other dog she didn't want any trouble. But when Vivid smiled down at her she instantly realized that she was in a good mood and this dog would bring no harm... Hopefully. Kipcha sat very tall , attempting to regain her dignity, at least a little, and looked up at the huge dog trying with all her might to reach his eye level but failing miserably. Despite her stature, Kipcha said in an extremely shakey voice, "Hello there, Taiko, nice to meet you." She glanced back over to Vivid, spotting her playful expression Kipcha inched over nearer to the czarina, she didn't like meeting new dogs especially such tall ones, even though she could tell Taiko was friendly.
Kipcha Turned her eyes on Vivid wondering what to think of this odd loner who seemed to be giving the czarina apples. Apples? Who likes apples? She reminded herself that most dogs do enjoy this fruit, even though Kipcha hadn't had an apple since she was a puppy she still despised them ever sense her brother had choked on one and sent it spinning into the air she hadn't even given the thought of trying an apple. She opened her mouth to bark out in a cautious voice to Vivid, "What are you doing Vivid?" Then she stopped herself spotting the contentment and happiness in Vivid's face then continued on in a kinder tone "I guess it is a nice day maybe we should play..." Kipcha wished she hadn't asked what the czarina was doing away from her duties with Taiko, and it was a very nice day she hoped Vivid had payed no attention of the first part of her sentence for Kipcha was longing to play in the sun.
